Delivering consistent, localized experiences is mission critical in today’s global marketplace. That’s why we introduced Localization Workspace, a platform feature in ServiceNow that serves as the command center for multilingual content management.
To learn more, check out our Platform Academy Webinar: Introducing the Localization Workspace from our presenters: Lyena Solomon, Director of Globalization & Accessibility; Sam Smyth, Inbound Product Manager; and Vicki Chrea, Senior Outbound Product Manager.
What Makes Localization Workspace Different
Localization Workspace is the only product of its kind built natively into the ServiceNow Platform and designed for scale.
Key highlights:
- Seamless integration with existing workflows and translation providers
- Full transparency from request to delivery
- Scalability to support new languages and large content volumes
- Consistency across regions, channels, and user interfaces
Why It Matters
Our customers told us about their biggest challenges with localization: inconsistent user experiences, manual processes that cause delays, complex scaling, translation bottlenecks, and limited visibility. Localization Workspace was built to solve these pain points reducing human error, accelerating delivery, and streamlining management.
Built for Global Success
As a top-level platform app, Localization Workspace is ideal for organizations managing complex implementations, large-scale multilingual content, and region-specific experiences.
By centralizing translation and localization workflows, organizations can deliver accessible, inclusive, and consistent experiences in every language.
Localization Workspace: Commonly asked questions
- How can I correctly set-up Localization Workspace?
- Firstly, Localization Framework must be installed and configured before configuring Localization Workspace. More information is available on this product documentation page.
- What do the cost estimates refer to and how are they set up?
- The estimates are an informational estimate for a translation job based on a translation provider’s rates per language and are configured within Localization Workspace. More information is available on this product documentation page.
- Is it possible for our teams to review any machine translated content before it goes live?
- Yes. This depends on the translation workflow that is set up in Localization Framework. More information is available on this product documentation page.
- Is it possible to set up customised workflows?
- Yes. You can set up workflows that are tailored to meet the needs of your organization, but this needs to be done in Localization Framework. More information is available on this product documentation page.
- How will Localization Workspace change our translation vendor setup or any machine translation setup and workflows that we have in place?
- It won’t. The translation workflows are set-up in Localization Framework and Localization Workspace leverages the configurations in Localization Framework. More information is available on this product documentation page.
- How will I know what content should be sent to translation?
- When submitting content for translation Localization Workspace identifies content items which are untranslated, or which have been partially translated and need to be sent to translation again.
