I was surprised there's very little info on Docs on this considering how many times a builder will need to deploy a many to many relationship. Pays to know the 2 different ways this can be done, because the experience in the outcome is so different.
I showcase my mental model for m2m tables:
1) "Middle Doesn't Matter" which provides an experience like users & groups. I only care about the records on each side of the relationship. I do not care about the middle record that makes the m2m happen.
2) "Magic In The Middle" where I care very much about the record in the middle, because it has its own properties.
