Hello All,
I believe I am trying to do something fairly simple but as I am new to ServiceNow I am getting myself in a tangle here.
So in my Requested Item I have a field called '' I would like to auto populate this from when a user completes a Catalogue Item.
What I am wondering is how I add this field onto my 'Maintain Item' on the service catalogue and get it to auto populate in the requested item??
Any guidance I will be very greatful for.
Kind Regards
Carl

Hello Pradeep,
Thank you for your help.
Its not quite what im trying to do though.
I dont have CI's as a variable, what I would ideally like to do is add this field which is sitting on the 'Requested Item' form and add this onto the 'Maintain Item' form
Then whenever someone fills in a form which has this field populated in the form then it pulls it through on the 'Requested Item' form?
Hope this makes sense.

Hi Carl,
I'm sorry. Req is little confusing.
Did you mean that you wanna populate CI info from the field which is available on catalog item?

Hi Pradeep,
Sorry thought it might be a little confusing.
Ideally I want to create a new field on the catalog item screen which has CI on this and then when someone completes this form it pushes over to the 'Requested Item' screen.
If this field is blank in the catalog item then it will stay blank in the Requested Item also
Hope this makes more sense

Hi Carl,
In that case you have to create a variable on catalog item..There will be a related list called variables on catalog item form. Go ahead and create a variable called configuration item.
Once the above step is completed then you have to create a BR as I mentioned in my previous reply.
Please let me know if you are blocked.

Hi All,
Sorry about this.
Is there a way of doing this without doing a variable as we have over 200 forms and I dont ideally want to create a new variable for this.
Cheers
