Calling Virtual Agent topic from another Topic

Hello All, Good day!
I'm currently playing with virtual agent in our new London instance. Does somebody knows(if possible) how to call another virtual agent topic from another topic?

Thank you

Hi Jane,

I would say that isn't possible. Not at this version. When you are in a topic you pretty much need to cancel that and get back out to the "general" one and then go into another topic.

Thank you @Goran Lundqvis!

Hi Goran and Jane,

We use ServiceNow at our university and are starting to explore it's implementation. We use both ITSM and CSM to service our internal customers (and some external), so currently several departments have agent managed chat queues for different topics, both IT and academic.

What would you suggest for the initial topic list? I wonder if its possible to have higher level topics that then route to sub topics, rather than having a longer list of topics from the get go. Does everything have to be under one virtual agent, or can each department have its own virtual agent with its own list of topics?

I'm not sure if any of this is possible yet so I may end up submitting some enhancement requests if not. I'm curious to see if you have any ideas on this.

Cheers,

Steve

Hi Steve,

What I know of there isn't a function to have "sub-topics" in London. No idea yet what Madrid has to come within that area.

As it is now, the VA is global, meaning you can have different icons, names etc. depending on which portal etc. you are using it.

When it comes to topics, what you can do is to limit which one people are seeing, so depending on the logged in user, they might see different topics depending on their roles, departments etc.

As I understand, you would like to first perhaps as for which department the user are looking for and then give a specific list of topics. I took a quick look and can't really see any good way of doing to limit. I would like to be able to limit a topic to e.g. a specific Service Portal, but can't see it right now how to do that.

Only way atm. I can see to make what you are looking for is to have just one topic per department and in that have a really complex topic with multiple choices etc. But I don't see that working (administrative) in real life. Feel like you would quickly build yourself into a to complex flow to understand.
