Can't set default filter for related list

Hi all,

I'm trying to configure a default filter for the Task SLA related list in the Incident form. The purpose is that users will only see SLAs of type SLA, while types Underpinning Contract and OLA will be filtered out. I've tried step by step several times in several instances and can't get the filter to work.

1. Incident triggers 4 Task SLAs, as seen in this screenshot of the Incident form related list:

2. I right-click the table header, and choose Configure > List Control

3. In the List Control form, I choose Configure > Form Layout and add Edit default filter

4. I add a default filter SLA definition.Type is SLA and Save etc.

5. Back in the Related list, the result is the same, filter hasn't been applied (the Underpinning contract and OLA should have been filtered out)

What am I missing? Many thanks in advance  /Tommy

You requirements were clear. But clicking "set default filter" on related list should set default filter for all users and not just for person clicking it.

This sets the filter on related list. To find that type related list in left navigation and find one having incident table and default view. If you open that record you will find task sla.incident on the related list having this filter.

Hi Tanaji,

I'm don't want to set a personal filter, I'm tring to configure a default filter for all end users. Sorry if my post was unclear!

I've seen the article, but afraid the problem remains in Orlando.

Hi again Tanaji,

my goodness, you're absolutely right! 😊👌 i'm extremely surprised, actually, since I was sure it was a personalization, and almost certain I began by testing exactly that, by impersonating another user. But I apparently must have missed that!

Many, many thanks to you!
