I am facing a challenge, if an asset record is created manually, the associated CI record is not getting created. How to resolve this?

Hi @DebasisP
As per best practice, please create the CI first and it will create Asset as per design.
If my response proves useful, please indicate its helpfulness by selecting " Accept as Solution" and " Helpful." This action benefits both the community and me.

I understand the best practice however in the current process getting followed. we are getting the asset record created first, configuration follows. For the system created assets it generates the associated CI record however for manually created record the associated CI record is not getting created. How can we solve this?

Hi @DebasisP,
Check model category that Model has been linked and check if CI class configured as per below screenshot.
Below is the example to show how CI and Asset linked when an Asset is created simultaneously a CI will be created
Thanks and Regards,
