Hi there,
We've encountered the following problem. I'm hoping for some advice!!
We've integrated science logic with ServiceNow to create CI [virtual machines]. We recently ran into an issue where a CI was created but no asset record was established. Normally, given the present setup, this integration would build the asset record for all of the CIs being created. This occurred for a specific number of records.
Thank you for taking the time to respond.

What is the CI class where the CI is created?
With model categories (Product Catalog > Product Models > Model Categories) you can define if an asset should be created when a CI is created in a specific CI Class.
Also, when you use a product model, there is an attribute "Asset tracking strategy".
Here you can define to don't create an asset, when the CI has this product model.
Regards,
Michael

Since you mentioned only specific records are missing, did you check if there is any rule on asset side preventing record creation ?
How does the data look like on CI side, do they records have all relevant attributes populated on CI.

Anil,
On the CI record, I don't detect any strange behavior, and it isn't repeated. On the asset side, there was no rule preventing it because the subsequent schedule was fine. Before we wrap up, I'd like to make sure that if this happens again, we know what checks we should run. Thanks!

Hi Anil,
There is no rule that prevents the creation of asset records, as far as I can gather. Yes, the CI data appears to be in good shape, and no problems have been discovered. For example, we manually created a single CI record and tested the flow, and the asset record was created automatically without any issues. Following that, we kept an eye on the next schedule, which went off without a hitch. I'll revisit if it happens again in the future.
Thank you for your response.

do the missing records have pattern ? like all the records are from a particular sub class?
