[CMDB] - Hostname in CI table not flow to Asset table

Hi there,

We've encountered the following problem. I'm hoping for some advice!!

We've integrated science logic with ServiceNow to create CI [virtual machines]. We recently ran into an issue where a CI was created but no asset record was established. Normally, given the present setup, this integration would build the asset record for all of the CIs being created. This occurred for a specific number of records.

Thank you for taking the time to respond.

What is the CI class where the CI is created?
With model categories (Product Catalog > Product Models > Model Categories) you can define if an asset should be created when a CI is created in a specific CI Class.

Also, when you use a product model, there is an attribute "Asset tracking strategy".
Here you can define to don't create an asset, when the CI has this product model.

Ravi,

Appreciated it if you could advise on the procedure to verify the patterns. Thanks!

by pattern i didnt mean anything special ! just analyzing the data that are getting missed , what do they have in common ? as i have said before - it could be they all belong to same child class !
