Customize the Next Experience UI

Hello! 

I'm wondering if I can customize the Next Experience UI? I want to change colors in the new Polaris theme. As of today I'm using the Basic Configuration UI16 and when I try to make changes it doesn't seem to apply in the new interface. 
Any ideas?
