I need to have assistance in fixing 26 records.
I recently deleted some CI records and used the 'Deleted records plugin' to bring them back (undelete them).
However I have some records that didn't get back to asset records.. 'relate'Can somebody tell me how to fix this? There is no more items to undelete. I have some sysids.. but unsure what to do to get the CIs and Assets related again.

Hi Denise,
If the related items are not displaying in the deleted items list, then there may not be a way to recover them. How were these CIs created? Did you have relationships and related tasks for them? If not, it may be easier to just recreate them from your discovery source.

Thanks Ben.
Appreciate the answer! I ended up calling HI and they helped me review 'cascade rule' and also how to check any related (a dozen CIs just got recreated and there was orphaned records so in reviewing we deleted them). Here is what I was given. Perhaps it will help others:
There is a module called "Cascade delete rules", this dictates what will be deleted if a reference record is deleted. This is mainly to handle orphan records that has plague a lot of users before. This is why when a CI is deleted, the CI relationships are also deleted because without doing so, the CI relationship will be pointing to non-existent records. For Asset and CI tables, the cascade rule is set to delete for both tables. Meaning if CI is deleted, the Asset referencing this CI is also deleted. The reverse is also true. A good link I was given too: Configure cascade delete rules
Thanks again everybody!

Hi Denise,
I'm sorry... I must have misunderstood your question. I was aware of the cascade delete, but I thought you were trying to determine if there was a way to recover the cascade deleted items that were deleted with your CIs. Were they able to help you recover those items?
Thanks,
Ben
