Hi,

Can anyone explain the difference between knowledge_manager and knowledge_admin roles with examples?

What tasks a user with knowledge_manager role can perform which a user with knowledge_admin role cannot?

Hi,

It's best to refer to documentation for this such as: https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/rome-servicenow-platform/page/product/knowledge-management/refere...

knowledge_manager Knowledge managers perform administrative functions for knowledge bases they manage defining categories, pinning important articles, and approving changes to articles. Users selected as managers of a knowledge base receive this role automatically.
knowledge_admin Knowledge administrator can perform all the administrative tasks associated with maintaining the Knowledge Management system.

I made a chart of the Navigator modules and which role can access them. Doesn't define the actions but if you understand the gist of the modules it helps.

Hi @Pam Calvey What does 'I' indicate in that.

It's an inherited role. So higher role inherits (or is automatically granted) the I role.
