Different between relative before and relative after within reports

Is anybody able to advise what ServiceNow means with regards to these criterion please?

I believe it means as below - is this correct?

 

Filter What it returns Practical useRelative – before – 2 days agoRelative – after – 2 days agoNot on – Today
All records older than 2 daysTrend analysis, backlog counts
Records created within the last 2 daysNew work in recent period
Everything except today’s recordsDaily reports excluding in‑progress work

Relative – before – 2 days ago Records older than 2 days ago (sys_created_on < 2 days ago) Backlog analysis, aging reports
Relative – after – 2 days ago Records newer than 2 days ago (sys_created_on > 2 days ago) Recent work, "last 48hrs activity"
Not on – Today Records NOT created today (excludes midnight‑now) Yesterday+ backlog, daily delta reports
