Disable the configuration items

How to disable configuration items.

--> I need to disable   some configuration item .

--> which table I have to go and what I have to do -->CMDB_CI   ??

Yes... you have to go to the cmdb_ci table. Or you can go to the individual class table as well like cmdb_ci_server table.



Typical Active field is not present in these tables. Could you please explain why you need to disable a configuration item.



You can use the Operational Status or Status field to make a configuration item non operational or retired.

I did that but what is the main difference between CI status as retired and Operational Status as Non-Operational.


which will help to deactivate CI and what is good practice.

Both are different State.


Status is showing your Assets availability state. and Operation status is showing Assets operational state.
