Hi,

We have configuration items in our CMDB.
We want to update them.

We are going to export this table and then update the excel file in order to import again.

which field is used for the merge?  Because the name of the ci will be potentially modified
Can we export the sys_id and the used in the transformation table during the import?

Thank you for your help

Yes, you can use the sys_id (coalesce = true )for updating the records.

But I guess there will be huge records.

Thanks

Hi,

Follow the following steps to move cmdb records from Env1 to Env2 with same sysID.

1) Go in the list of cmdb records and apply any filter if needed

2) Right click on the header Export-> XML

find_real_file.png

3) The records will be downloaded in an XML file with sys_id of the respective records

4)Go to Env2 and search 'Retrieved Update set' and click on 'Import Update set from XML' in related link and upload that file

5) Commit the update set

Let me know in case of any issues.
