Hi
I am working in a New York Instance ( newyork-06-26-2019__patch4-hotfix1b-01-24-2020_02-05-2020_1535) having trouble to open Form Designer for one specific Form View (let's call the View "ABC").
Opening Form Designer from within the form (while in "ABC" View) using the hamburger menu
> Configure > Form Design, I get the following error:
I am working as Admin user and all is done in GLOBAL scope (no scope issues).
When I switch the view of the form (to let's say "XYZ" View) and open Form Designer, it works as expected.
Then in Form Designer, I even can switch to the view ("ABC") which threw the error before.
There are NO View Rules and NO extra access right restrictions on that View.
I also tried to remove and rebuild that view ("ABC") on that table, but the same error occurs afterwards.
I removed the views at > System UI > Views in the form of the "ABC" form ("UI VIEW")
I have Views with the same name ("ABC") on other tables, but the error does not occur on the other tables.
For those tables, the Form Designer opens correctly as expected.
Any suggestions on what I can try out?
Thanks a lot in advance?
BR
Dirk

Hi
Finally, I figured out the issue. This was a silly browser cache issue (I was working on Firefox).
I found out, that the problem only occurred on Firefox, but not on Chrome.
After clearing the browser cache, the Form Designer opens up as usual again.
Thanks for any support so far.
BR and have fun!

Hey Dirk,
Type tablename.CONFIG in filter navigator, it would open all the objects related to that table on which you are trying to execute the operation. Navigate to Dictionary Entries and try creating a new column from there. Also to check for ACL, navigate to Access Control list on that table and try searching for ACL with Operation as Create or Write.
Further more, check for Admin overrides checkbox on ACL. Have a security debugging On while you do the operation and see the logs to understand why you're unable to do the required operation being Admin.
Or can you confirm, you application is set to Global as shown below?
mark Correct and Helpful if applicable.
Regards,
Indrajit.

Hi Indrajit
Thanks for your answer. I already found a post, having the answer you supplied, but as I wrote, there is no access right problem or scope problem on the table. All are global.
Thanks a lot.
