Global Search field color?

Hello,

I recently made changes via the branding editor and added a theme.  The Global Search field changed colors to match my theme, but it's the same color as my text.  I can't seem to find a setting in the Branding Editor or the custom theme to specify this color and can't seem to find it by changing colors one by one...and none of the documentation addresses this.

Please help me change the Global Search field back to white.

I figured it out right after posting this.  Found it in the Theme.  Here's the text:

/* Background color for header search input */ 
$navpage-header-search-bg-color: #FFFFFF

Hey there @Robert_Cartwrig , I looked in the theme but don't see this.  I tried adding the line manually but that doesn't do anything either.  Did you have do more than this elsewhere?  Thank you!
