Global search not returning for user

We have a user who does not get a search return for a global search with certain reference types.

But, when other users with the same access do the same search, they do get search returns.

The user has the same role which is needed to use global search return which is set in the system property.

This is happening across all searches of the same record type (custom table).

I have already compared access and it is the same. Is there anything else I should look into?

Thanks

Hi,

Without specific example to help us along, if they aren't getting a result back, and others are, then they don't have access to that record.

Please give more information and details as to what you've done to compare access, etc. as we don't know what that means. If it's a reference somewhere else, they'd need access to the reference as well.

The user can search and view the record in list view.

Roles and groups are the same across this user and other users who do receive results from global search.

Hi,

Again, unfortunately, we can't really help as all we can go off of is you saying that you've done that. That would be the main cause of this issue. When we say compare access, we mean roles and also ACLs, which is what I asked about above.

It's shouldn't be a cache issue if you're impersonating and seeing the same issue.

I hope you understand where we're coming from as far as what we're trying to offer to help you and what you're saying you're doing.

Until we can confirm cross comparison between this user and another and what all was checked, we can only just randomly suggest things. Sorry!

You'd need to thorough check two example users from top to bottom to figure this out. Did the one user create the record and the other didn't....if so, ACL, is one on a watch list but the other is not, ACL, etc. What record can one see and why can't the other see it. Look at the details...etc.

ACLs checked. No discrepancy found.  User access is exactly the same, and it is impacting only a single user out of over 80 with the same access.

I was actually hoping people would "randomly suggest things" as the obvious avenues have been explored already.

Thanks for your help.
