Hello. I am attempting to bring a retired article out of its retirement. It was previously in the published state, and the author accidentally hit the "retire" button. In reviewing the article's properties, the state is "Retired (in progress)". In fact, all such retired articles are in the Retired (In Progress) state, with a blue, right facing arrow. Thus, no further action can be taken on the article, because the action does not seem to complete.
In looking at the workflows (and I am new to these, so pls forgive me if I sound like a plebe), I notice that the end of the retirement workflows contains no stage. Could someone please educate me on whether or not this is relevant to the question? In any case, are there any processes I can undertake to stop the retirement process and bring the article back?
Thanks!

Hi Raphael,
You can login as an administrator or a user with knowledge admin or knowledge manager role and go to Knowledge --> Articles --> Retired and open the retired article. Since this record is pending Retire approval you can just select Rejected in the Approvals tab.
I hope this helps.

Nino...Thanks! What if, in the approvals tab, there are no records? If I'm an admin, can that still mean I'm not an approver?

That can be true, yes. I'm an admin, but I'm not an approver for many of our content areas. That is going to be dependent on how you've set up your approvals.

Yes. Approver is dependent on how it is setup it can be a manager of the requester or a defined user or members of a group. Normally and by design System Admin does not take the role of Knowledge Approver.
