where in ServiceNow can I search what table has a sys id of what I am looking for?
Tables then filter?
I have tried this any other suggestions?

If I get you correct, you have a sys id and want to get the table of it?
Then the following will help you: Finding Record by Sys ID as an Administrator

Hello Rey,
You can go to tables list and in filter search for sys id and contains and paste your sys id and search for it.

hello tried I have tried this... I was looking for a sys id that was in an update set I don't think i will find the sys id anywhere on the instance if it was not a committed update set.
