Is there anyway we can enforce mandatory fields or restrict certifying empty certification elements during data certification from certification task.

When user certifies their cert task, record for that cert task is updated in cert_element table with state of certified.
You need to configure business rules on cert_element table to abort transaction for any non mandatory values and check if state is being updated to "certified" with no value in "Certified value" field.

Thank you for your solution sachin.
Yes a before update BR on cert_element table prevents certifying empty elements but there should be an error message at the cert_task end so that the person certifying is aware that certain elements are not certified since it was empty.
Is there anyway we can display an error message on corresponding cert_task with the list cert_elements that are not certified due to empty certified values?

When data cert users certifies cert elements, then state on cert_task table changes to closed complete.
You can configure business rule on cert_task table to provide error message to users during closed completion state and query cert_element table for any empty values.

Hi Sugan,
We do have same requirement with Data certification, as even without selecting values - one is able to go ahead with certify element.
If possible, could you please share your working BR script to prevent this outcome.
I have tried the below solution of modifying the UI script - "CertificationTaskScript" and amending the function certifyCheckedElements() as below:
function certifyCheckedElements() {
var e = $("certified_value");
if(e.value == ' '){
g_form.addErrorMessage(getMessage('Data is required for complete certification elements'));
return false;
}
else{
g_form.clearMessages();
processCheckedElements(getCheckedElements(), "certifyElements");
}
}
but still no use, one is able to certify without selecting any value, will appreciate your working BR script, so I may be able to craft a solution out of that.
Do let me know other solution, if possible.
Thanks
