We have 300 stores.
Occasionally all stores will call in or create a work order for the same issue.
We may have to create one work order and copy it in our old system (Track-It) for the 300 stores.
Q) I know we can update a group of tickets on the same fields at the same time, but how do I create the initial 300 work orders quickly?
Q) What if we only wanted to create a work order for a smaller group of stores? A script?
Regards,
Tony

As a rule of thumb, I measure impact in ways other than task quantity. Ideally you want a task only if it represents a discrete unit of work.
Would set patches literally represent 300 distinct transaction if an incident effected every store?

Examples would be:
1) All stores need a new style paper towel dispenser.
One work order would need to be created for each of the 300 stores.
Each work order would need to be assigned to a different tech.
2) Each store needs to have a particular software tweak.
These tweaks cannot be performed on an automated rollout - they need to be done on a one by one basis.
We need to log a work order for each store for audit purposes - showing which tech performed the update and when.

Hi Tony -
Were you able to find a solution in regards to the work order? I am in need of something similar and the only suggestions so far is to create a 'standard request' labeled work order
I am very interested in what you may have accomplished.
Thank you
