How do Multi-row Variable Sets on the Portal work?

I have a situation. I have successfully built a catalog item with a very cool Multi-row Variable Set. It looks and functions perfectly in the back-end catalog view (old CSM). The Service Portal LOOKS like it is working perfectly; however, the Multi-Row Variables are not saving when the catalog item is submitted. Everything else (all other functionality and variables) does normally.
Now, yes, the "SC Catalog Item" widget IS customized in our environment. When I put the OOB "SC Catalog Item" widget back in place on the page; it works perfectly.
So, does anyone know, what in the "SC Catalog Item" widget makes the Multi-row Variable Set work specifically. We must be missing it in either Client or Server scripts (or both).
HI is actually looking into it also, but I thought this might be faster.

Hi there,
Coincidently, I ran into a similar issue today. Multi-row variable set, once filled, not submitting... the submit button even didn't seem to respond.
Though, when looking at Chrome, I saw this:
I did also restore to the out-of-the-box "SC Catalog Item" widget, though no luck. The form looks to be submitting but "hangs."
Curious If anyone has a thought immediately.
Kind regards,
Mark

- The submit is working. Just leaves off the Multi-row variable set entirely.
- OOB or customized widget alike... I see the same warning. "could not find UI action: Submit". However, despite the warning, the OOB still saves the MRVS. Our customized widget does NOT.
- I never have seen a POST error in the console log for the 404 but I'm guessing that's specific to your catalog item.
