How do you "turn off" a service portal? We've rolled our own and want to turn off the default "sp" portal.

We don't want to completely disable the plugin. We DO use service portals we just don't want the out of the box portal to come up when the /sp is appended to the SNOW URL anymore.

Hi robertyoung
Try changing the homepage to "404" page to bring them to the error page when accessing the portal. Don't forget to remove the SP Header menu value from main menu field also to remove access to headers. Change the suffix also in case users. have bookmarked the portal
The portal should look something like this:

It's strange. we've given out users the URL for our custom portal. If they remove the portal suffix form the URL they get taken to the sp portal even though our custom portal is set to default? I have set the homepage to 404 as suggested but wouldn't it be better to redirect users to the default?
I tried setting our portal homepage as the homepage of the sp portal and it does take users to the right page BUT, the URL is still instance.service-now.com/sp and all of the links also take the user to the right pages but with the wrong URL.
There must be a way to stop this. It's dangerous.
I'll post another new post for this as this one is 2 years old.
