How to enter Meta field in a KBA

Hello,

When creating a new KB article, we can enter meta(s) at the end of the article.

However I cannot find "what separator to use between them"?

Is it a space, a comma, a semi-colon, a new line...?

Thanks

Hi Fabiann,

It should always be comma irrespective of application/module.

There's a few approaches you can take. For separating terms and phrases using commas and underscores see Using meta tags in Knowledge Base articles to improve SEO and reduce incidents

However, an alternate suggestion (found in the comments of the above article) is to tag terms and phrases in the Meta field using separate line items instead of commas.

Example:

find_real_file.png

In our environment we've tried both approaches and the latter approach has proven to be much for effective.

So using Meta field using separate line items instead of commas, even without underscore is valid too?

In summary,
1) you can add meta separated by commas,

2) you typically use underscore to tie keywords together in a single phrase, which means that if you don't put underscore it means they are separate words and should have a comma in between,

3) you enter the meta and carriage return to next line for next meta

Am I correct?

I am using Employee Center Pro.  Is this approach for delimiting meta values still recommended for AI Search?  I am seeing different information.

Knowledge - AI Search does not index tags you add to the Meta field Info Message - Known Error says that AI

Search does utilize meta tags since Vancouver.

Create a knowledge article (see the Meta field description) says for Knowledge Management portal with AI Search enabled, the meta tags are not used.  The recommendation is to use result improvement rules.
