How to make a Custom Password Policy active?

I created a custom Password Policy and want to make the new policy the active policy. How do I de-activate the Default password policy and use the new policy?

Thank you,

Rhonda

Hi,

From my research, SN has hardcoded that record to be the "active" password policy. That means, you'd want to change it the password strength preset within that record to "custom" and then set your values accordingly.

Thanks Allen.  Unfortunately, the criteria to be enforced is locked down in the default.

Hi,

To clarify, it's not the "default" password strength that I'm talking about...it's literally the record that is named "Default" out of box. So you just have to use that record...for your password strength criteria, etc.

Within that one record, you can use a custom or other password strength policy.

Hi Allen,

I thought I would share.  After working with SN, it was determined an update is also required to the Password Credential Store to use a custom Password Policy.  Once I updated the Password policy in the dialog below, the policy was enforced.

Best regards,

Rhonda
