How to move a knowledge article to another knowledgebase?

We used to have only one knowledgebase which was only accessible for logged in users.
Recently we have added a public knowledgebase for some of our articles which should be accessible for everyone, both logged in users and outside.
I want to move some of our articles from the old knowledgebase to the new knowledgebase.
According to the ServiceNow official documentation this should be possible when editing an article but when I edit an article the Knowledge Base field is greyed out.
The account I am using has admin rights but according to the documentation contributor access to the knowledgebase should be enough.
How can I make the Knowledge Base field editable, preferably only for knowledgebase managers or admins?
