How to take Backup and Restore of an ServiceNow Production instance?

Hi Guys,

Our client has only 2 instance Test & Production. 

Our client wants to "Backup the system" (whole production Instance) before update sets are moved.

So how can i do that? other then Cloning.

I want to understand process to:-

1) Backup of Instance

2) Restore Instance from backup

Hi,

HI has an article on this found here.

"Instances are automatically backed up daily during non-peak business hours on schedules defined by ServiceNow. We do not adjust the timing of existing backup schedules. we also take full backup of the database, so that includes all tables along with them."

Hey goutamchalkikar,

In service now there is an option called update set,create one update set and store all your customizations.If you dont want that customizations then you can do back to default update set or create another update set

Note:There is an update set picker in the banner,there select your update set,you can able to see your customizations.
