How to use single variable set multiple times in a catalog

Hi ,

I have created a variable set and have   to use it multiple times in a catalog at different order.

Can I some how copy all the variables of variable set and just change name for 2nd and 3rd variable set.

I tried insert but variables are not getting copied.

Do I have to again create 2nd and 3rd variable set with same variables?

I wanted to know this to save my time and effort .

aastha, You can use a variable set multiple times on different catalog items on the same catalog. However on one catalog item you can only use it once.

Please share with us your use-case, the reason you would want same questions (variables) asked 2-3 times on one item? We might be able to suggest a better solution for that.

Hi Rohan,

My requirement is similar to Aastha. I have   a use case where we need to have multiple items for one RITM. Example -   Need is to have multiple cars allocation for a program and to be covered in one REQ/RITM. However, each car will have different timing and route requirement.

In this case we need to show options to fill up car request details, multiple time on catalog item form and thats where I want to leverage one variable set to capture request details for one car and keep adding (un-hiding) more variable sets on users demand.

Please share your views OR any alternate approach.

Hi Rohan,

Just to add above, we can have restriction on maximum repetition of variable set. For example - say only 3 car requirement details can be added in one cataolg request item.
