Immediate video playback instead of downloading and buffering?

Currently we are still using Kingston, but will upgrade to New York pretty soon.
At the moment we are facing the issue that there is no immediately plaback of embedded video files when started. Instead the video seems to be downloaded in the background completely first and then started. This is annoying, especially the larger the file and the longer the clip is.

Is there no way to immediately start play back? And how will it be in New York release? I'd read somewhere that immediate play back is generally or still not possible at all and it is recommended to embed a clip from YouTube instead of attaching a local file. But this I cannot really believe! If it is true it would be the ... well ... most questionable solution I've ever heard.

We're currently testing "New York" and video streaming is working now! Even using different formats like AVI, MOV or MP4 is given.
When opening an article with en embedded video, the download starts with a spinning circle (for some seconds) and then showing the video. While it's playback the rest is downloaded and buffered.
Great!

Hi Kiran,

we haven't done anything. This seems to have been improved with the New York release.
