Is there a way to hide edit/add MRV buttons on RITMs in the Portal after submission?

We've found that users are able to see the 'add', 'remove all' and 'edit' button on MRVs in RITMs in the portal after submission. This allows users to enter data and see the data in the MRV on the form (until the form is reloaded and the changes are lost).

Is there a way to avoid misleading users by hiding these buttons ONLY AFTER the request has been submitted (without DOM manipulation)?
