Is there a way to search incidents in the Service Portal?

We are currently on Quebec and will upgrading to San Diego soon. We were wondering, is there is a way to search for incident tickets on the Service Portal? We have a "my tickets" section but we want to be able to type in an incident number into the search bar and find the incident.

I have a follow up is an incident/ interaction table an index source? or is that why the steps in the  article you listed above are needed?
