Knowledge Articles in Draft state can be seen on Portal

Whenever a kb article is checked out into DRAFT state, any user can now see the article and it has the word Draft beside the KB article number. If any edits are saved while the article is still in DRAFT state, the user can now see the edits too. I have check all the sys properties and they all look to be correct. We have no ACLs that contribute to this issue. Is there something I am missing or is this a bug that needs to be reported?

I have attached what you see from the Portal as a user with only ITIL Role. And the sys properties that have been checked and confirmed.

I believe we went to the Knowledge Portal Properties (Knowledge > Administration > Properties)

Find this property, and make sure it is unchecked.

Hi Jackie,

Is "Can Read" set on the article?

or on the knowledge base?

  1. From Application Navigator, go to "Knowledge" > "Administration" > "Knowledge Base"
  2. Select the knowledge base the article is classified under
  3. Check "Cannot Read" and "Can Read" settings.

Our Knowledge Base has over 1500 articles in it. It is doing this to all articles in DRAFT state. Not just one. The Can Read is not set, but the Can Contribute is set to Public on the Knowledge Base level.

Hi @Jackie23, have you found a solution to this problem?

I believe we went to the Knowledge Portal Properties (Knowledge > Administration > Properties)

Find this property, and make sure it is unchecked.
