Microsoft Entra ID SSO Authenticated Inbound REST API Calls

Hello friends,

 

I am developing one .NET/Python utility which is configured with SSO using Microsoft Entra ID. That utility is used to interact with ServiceNow. With ServiceNow, we don't want to have additional service account or Basic auth mechanism to be used. Instead i am planning to use SSO with which user has logged into utility. I am not finding a way of doing it. Anyone has any idea? 

 

@Ankur Bawiskar I went trhough your OAuth doc? Is this different? Any idea?

How does your utility authenticate with ServiceNow?

Did you try oAuth JWT Bearer?

 - Create an oAuth client JWT

 - Create a PEM / DER certificate and add it to Multi-Provider SSO x509 certificates. Generate and validate them

 - In the oAuth created, under the related list JWT Verifier Map, add your certificate
