We have installed Mid servers in the past and it has gone fine, but yesterday we tried creating another mid server and everything seemed to go fine server side. The installer said it was successful and the mid server service is showing up in services.msc. Unfortunately when we go to look at the mid server in the UI it is not showing up.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Shaik,
I used the old installer I had from a previous installation, I think it was patch 3 or something rather old. Once you install and start the MID, your instance will try to update it to match the patch version of the instance. Documentation on updating MID servers, in case your instance doesn't automatically update it.
If you don't have any installers lying around, here's the link to 8c from the documentation I linked to in my answer:
Links to Jakarta Patch 8c Installer ZIPs: Windows: 32 bit, 64 bit

I have faced the same issue with Orlando release, where I tried everything but still the mid server didn't show up on my instance. Removed the entire MID server orlando installation package from the windows server and installed the MID server application compatible with the NewYork release (mid.newyork-06-26-2019__patch4-hotfix1-12-16-20...). Followed the same instllation procedure and this time it showed up in the list of my MIDServer.

ORLANDO UPDATE:
I had the same problem. I used a personal instance, to connect to a personal windows 2019 server. Could not see the Service in Windows or see the Mid Server on the ServiceNow instance. Rather than deleting the files and re-installing the mid.
I did the following: Went to the AGENT folder under the Windows Host, right clicked and started the START batch file. Once I did that, I could see the start and procedure.
I checked the instance, MID showed up and check the Service on the Windows 2019 Server, I saw the ServiceNow MID Server service.
