Need a pop up window box to accept user information in Service Portal

Hello,

Hope everyone is doing good.

We have a requirement to replicate a native instance functionality in a record producer in Service Portal.

Just like in the normal incident form, when clicking the assignment group field or Caller ID field etc, a pop up window appears to search the user details or assignment group and then add it to the field, we would like to replicate the same pop up window box functionality for our Requested By variable in the record producer which is showing at the Service Portal.

In the example screenshot, the user also has the option to search for the entries using multiple fields like Name, Manufacturer, Class etc.

Please let us know how we can replicate this on the record producer variable, when using on Service Portal.

Also I tried on my PDI with both Catalog item and Record Producer variables, still it is coming as a drop down.
Can you please confirm if you are viewing from after opening through Service Portal and not clicking on Try It button of the Item or record producer?

You are right , I was testing in native but when i moved to Portal i can see drop down. seems it is OOTB and by design only. and not sure where to change. Log a Now Support case please.
