Preview Notification not working when viewing from System Logs>Emails

While testing and updating my notifications, I am now seeing the following behavior:

When viewing my notifications from the notification record, I am able to preview the notification.

When testing the notification from System Logs>Emails, I am not able to see a preview. 

Any idea why this would occur?  I am using a combination of email templates and notifications with text in the notification message, and the behavior is the same.

Hello

Emails log does not have the "preview notification" function. Instead you have to click the "preview HTML Body" in the Related Links section.

Can you include a screenshot? The Preview Notification is available when you are defining the notification to allow you to test it (using an existing record as the inputs.)

Once the email is generated (e.g. in the sent/outbox) you can preview the HTML body using the related link, but that's not the same dynamic as the button the Notification definition.

Hope that helps, if not, images might help me understand where we are out of sync on this.

When working in the notification, I am able to see my formatting:

However, when testing in System Logs>Notifications, the preview is blank:
