"Managed by group" field in the Location table

Hello SN community,

I'm unsure about the purpose of the "Managed by group" field in the Location [cmn_location] table, can it be used for assigning the group for tasks (inc,prb,chg,sctask,...) based on location or it has another purpose?

Based on the helptext, it is the group which is managing that location. You can use it to assign task based on location for few usecases. For ex, If my desk broke and I request a new desk, based on my location the group who manages that location can be assigned to get me a new desk
