ServiceNow architecture Diagram to provide to Security team

Hi all,

I have been requested by the customer's security team to provide Servicenow architecture in a security perspective.

Customer wants to ensure his data is private. By private he is planning to encrypt it himself or manage the encryption keys to be sure he his master of this.

Customer's network is not having good performances

Question 1 : Any idea if such atrchitecture exists?

Question 2: Where is exactly customer instances located? Always same place or does this change based on Snow load balancer or for any reason?

Question 3: Whitelist on location? Is there anything else besides the IP restrictions?

Question 4: Servicenow, what bandwidth exchange is used?

Question 5: Integration with IBM IGI? What is the best option? There is the IBM adapter which can connect to snow and manage users but I'm concern in the fact as snow admins we have less control with this integration where IBM adapter is managing all.

Question 6:what are the pros and cons for each type of integration? REST, SOAP, JDBC, ODBC, FTP?

Question 7: Servicenow Database encryption. Cost? Techical impact?

Thankis in advance for answer or comment

The ServiceNow Trust and Compliance Center has most of this information and some diagrams and an ebook version. For encryption you can take a look at the Encryption Whitepaper. For the DB encryption pricing you'll need to reach out to your sales rep.

Thanks a lot Brad. This is very useful.

Any input for the other questions?
