This is one of the most common questions I get asked.

 

So I want to give a crash course on how e-mail notifications work in ServiceNow - as well as help you with the licensing as a business stakeholder and fulfiller so you can quickly get started.

 

Let's dive in!

 

One of my clients has the goal of maximizing the platform capabilities and at the same time using the technology with their current political structure.

 

To fully maximize the platform, familiarity with the ServiceNow licensing model is essential.

 

The fulfiller and business stakeholder can cut across all modules in ServiceNow both as an approver and reviewer. These capabilities are one of the strongest features of ServiceNow which is not being emphasized to end users!

 

Requesters are already inclusive of the licensing, utilizing the correct architecture of ServiceNow as a requester fulfiller implemented design.

 

The sample workflow process allows you to customize request fields and forms, submit a request, review, approve, and comment by an approver.

 

The simplicity of the dsicipline can be fully utilized with different engagement channels like service request from portals, email, and ServiceNow mobile to name a few and responding as a reviewer or approver from an e-mail notification (review, approve and add a comment), mobile app and from a ServiceNow portal.
