quick question about out of box for ITBM & Service Portal:

submitted demands/ideas do not show up for the submitter via the Service Portal as do Requests or Incidents? So a submitter isnt able to view status of a submitted demand out of the box?

just making sure i'm not missing something before going the route of setting up a widget to provide this.

Hi,

Service Portal accounts for ITSM, so that's why Incidents and Requests show up OOB.

For Demands, you can go back through Page Designer and add a "simple list" widget to your page, wherever you'd like, then set parameters for the Demand table records to show up if they are the requested_for or opened_by (is) (dynamic), etc. Up to you.

But OOB, no ITBM doesn't automatically have widgets put on the page. 🙂

Does your Service Portal home page is configured with Demand Widget on the front end? If not the users may not see the submitted tickets on the homepage.

Please hit correct based on impact of response.

Thank you for replying Nitin,

Which demand widget?

i see 3 out of box demand widgets (and nothing for Ideas), which of these would show demands by the user which have been requested?

  • Demand Bubble chat (seems like this would more for a demand mgr?)
  • Demand Total cost (again, sounds like for a demand mgr0
  • PPS qualified demands (sounds like would show IF a demand had been approved - i was expected the user to be able to view the demands they submit regardless of it was Approved or not, just to let them see the status)

Perhaps we dont yet have an oob widget for this use case of visibility to an end user of what demands they personally submitted and the state of the demand? I think my preference would be that the end user be able to see any type of request/incident/demand etc that they submit.

Hi,

Any way to display the demands under My tickets page..? Like we display open incidents and closed Incidents, Open Requested Items and Closed Requested Items.

I have cloned the Widget and added on the same page under My Requested Items. I need Server script to fetch the active and inactive Demands.
