Time zone in user settings resets to ?

From the gear icon on any SN page, the users can set their timezone.


We've found that when users set their time zone to something specific, it will reset to a question mark after sign out/sign in or the very next day they try to get into SN.

Anyone know what might be causing that? Should this field be setting the timezone field on the user profile? Or should the user profile be setting this field? Or are they both separate?

I believe that below property in your instance has a invalid value:



- glide.sys.default.tz


- https://yourinstancename.service-now.com/nav_to.do?uri=sys_properties.do?sys_id=225b6a5fc0a8016400be...



Also, from gear icon it stays for the user session only. So In case they want to change the timezone permanently, the use should go to his/her user profile and update the timezone there. That will make it stay after re log-in.
