Hello,
I have gone into Knowledge and under 'Knowledge Bases' created a new KB labelled 'Infrastructure'
However when I go to add a Knowledge Category it won't show up under that KB?
The default one that comes OOB works fine, I even tried it with an insert and stay.
Any ideas? or is it something that's maybe hiding them?
Thanks!
Graham

Go into the form designer for your article. You will need to replace the existing category field with the one that references "kb_category". It will change the field type from a drop-down to a reference/search. You should be able to select the categories you've set up from there.
Apparently this is residual from the conversion of the old knowledge management module to the new one (which I believe they refer to as v3).
I hope this helps... please like/promote/etc. if so. It took care of the issue I was having.

Do you know if this changed with Knowledge V3? We do not have this category field showing on the form, however there are some articles published that have this field populated while others do not.
Thanks

Hey Graham,
You are not able to view category because you don't have published ARTICLE under that category.

I am also facing this issue.
The categorie has an article which is in published state. Still i can't see that or its not coming in search?
Any solutions

I have the same issue - just to add my 2 cents
I can actually see a flash of the "Knowledge Categories" tab before it disappears. I can edit the form and see the categories, but there is no "New" button. I cannot add them from the category picker. They disappear when I click OK. And I cannot add them by using kb_category.list either.
Workaround so I can move on: I can open an existing category (in a base where there is at least one), edit it and click Insert. Then, when creating a new article, I write the name in the Category field thus triggering a lookup. It will not work if I use the Category Picker.
This is an issue for both the OOB base as well as for my recently created base.
Best regards
Per
