Visual task board not updating

Hi,

My manager has a Flexible VTB for the tasks assigned to the ServiceNow admins group. Unfortunately, the board doesn't bring in new tasks automatically based on the query. My understanding based off of what Robert Fedoruk said here is that Flexible boards automatically populate based on the query, but I'm not sure if he meant that it should just autopopulate at the beginning or if it should continually update automatically. I looked at this question but our instance is on Eureka Patch 11 hot fix 2, so that shouldn't apply. My intuition says that because my manager has created so many new lanes and possibly renamed the old ones that it's not updating because it doesn't know where it should put the new tasks. I feel like I need to add a lane that the board automatically puts tasks in that have been newly retrieved from the query but I'm not sure what I would need to do with the lane to make sure that would happen. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Task boards have a limit of a number of cards it shows.     Is it possible he's at max, I think default it's 100.


No, he only has 43 tasks and at any rate it says on the wiki that "When the number of tasks exceeds the maximum, the system determines which cards to show on the board by most recent update time," and he has all the same tasks that the board started out with that haven't left because they were closed.


Perhaps he has a filter on.   I'm not sure at this point.

If you've got a Flexible board (which is a query driven board), it should definitely update as new items are added to / removed from the scope of the board query. I just validated this functionality via the current OOB Eureka build. If you're still seeing the behavior from your original post, it sounds like a bug.
