My ultimate goal is to show an announcement in the NOW platform to ITIL users, giving them the option to dismiss one time, or permanently dismiss (will no longer show).
After much research, i came across splash pages and verified my instance has it activated. I was able to build one and it shows up but I am not totally satisfied.
I also came across Welcome Page Sections. We already have some active ones but I have no idea how or where these show up. We have SSO activated and after that goes through, it redirects to home.do (or the splash screen, if set up).
How do Welcome Page Sections work? I was not able to get an answer in docs.
p.s. We are in London.

Hi,
The welcome page is for basic log in, not through SSO like ADFS, etc. You can find it by simply typing: "welcome" in left-hand nav search. It sounds like you may want to look at setting a homepage for everyone and then having an announcement widget/panel inside that with any latest news. There's also been suggestions of creating a broadcast message, as referenced here: https://community.servicenow.com/community?id=community_question&sys_id=64cfcb65dbdcdbc01dcaf3231f96... but there's cons to using that (not really the "best" solution).

For some reason, when i tried the broadcast message, it only came up once for a user, after X'ing out of it, it never came back up anymore for any users - even though it was still within the valid dates.
