I am working to create a standard knowledge base article template with a specific format and design. When trying to implement a new template, the article body field is missing no matter how I try to structure or what options I choose. What needs to be done to have the article body show up in a newly created article template?

Hi Eric Jones, you may need to have your admin team configure the layout to include your new fields. I find this a frustrating step, but this capability is not included in the knowledge admin role.

Hi Eric,
The field type HTML can be considered as a article body. Create a field with field type HTML for Article Body

Thank you for your suggestion to add an HTML field as the article body. Service Now makes no sense to me. I am an admin and can't figure out how to get the darn Article Body to actually appear, so your suggestion at least made it possible to deliver an article template to my dept. It's amazing all the work-arounds necessary to get basic functionality.
You know, after I published an article using the HTML section, viewing the article doesn't show anything that I put in that HTML field. It's like it doesn't exist. So my problem still isn't solved, unfortunately. Still, it was a good suggestion.
