Why can't I see the Service Configuration Item Association Table?

Hello,

From incident form, when we select the configuration item, we would like to have the Business Service it is related to populate a business service field.   From information on the wiki

https://docs.servicenow.com/product/configuration_management/reference/r_BusinessServiceTables.html

it looks like this information is stored in the Service Configuration Item Association table (svc_ci_assoc).   When I try to find the table and view it, the table does not appear in the Tables list.   I was hoping to create a reference field on the incident form that would auto-populate the Business Service based on the relationship of the configuration item selected.

What am I doing wrong?   Is there a way to do this?

Thank you,

Laurie

Hi Laurie,

Can you go to System Definition> Plugins and check if you have the Service Modeling plugin activated?

Chuck,

You are so brilliant!   Would have been nice if the wiki mentioned that!

Thanks,

Laurie

Hi Laurie,

It does mention it, it's just not at the top. It's in the middle of section 2 of all places!

Chuck,

Looks like I need CMDB Enterprise Edition.   Looks like that is an add-on?

Thanks,

Laurie
