When we create an article in Microsoft word with images and then try and copy and paste into knowledge articles the formatting changes and all the images are removed. There should be an easy way to copy and paste from one form to another.
Any Ideas?

Depending upon your release of Geneva/Helsinki - you should be able to use the import functionality. The images in MS Word are brought over as attachments, and also embedded in the article

We are anticipating an upgrade to Helsinki in a few weeks--is the Word import not automatically included with the upgrade?

In Helsinki, it should be. On the Knowledge homepage, you should see a button called Import Articles. You can then drag and drop Word files.
