Best approach for integrating external document management with ServiceNow?

Hi everyone,
I’m exploring options for handling a growing amount of project documentation (contracts, vendor files, asset-related docs, etc.) and I’m trying to figure out the best way to integrate an external document management system with ServiceNow.

Has anyone connected ServiceNow to a third-party DMS/ECM before? I’m looking at a few tools, including Dokmee, and wondering what the integration experience is like in terms of API support, indexing, and permissions.

Would you recommend using ServiceNow’s native document features, or does an external DMS tend to work better for large volumes?

Any advice or real-world experiences would be appreciated.
