Hi @shobhakalya
1) Verify instance status
Open: https://developer.servicenow.com/dev.do#!/instances
Check if your instance dev391594 shows:
Stopped / Hibernating / Error
If yes → click “Start Instance”
2) Wait & Retry (very important)
A 502 error usually means:
Instance node is restarting / overloaded
Backend not responding
Wait ~5–10 minutes, then try again
3) Try direct wake-up URL
JavaScript
https://dev391594.service-now.com/navpage.do
Sometimes homepage fails but backend wakes up from this URL.
4) Clear cache / try incognito
Open in Incognito / Private mode
Or clear browser cache
5) Check if instance expired / reclaimed
If unused for long:
Dev instances get recycled
Data might be lost
Check in developer portal → status will show
If still 502 after 15–20 mins Raise support request
If my answer resolves your issue, please accept the solution so it can benefit others.

Hi - Thanks for the response. Actually even this is giving a 404 error.
https://developer.servicenow.com/dev.do#!/instances
And this is still giving the 502error.
https://dev391594.service-now.com/navpage.do
I tried in Incognito mode as well.
Should I just wait for a while?
Thank you!

Hi @shobhakalya ,
- It is backend services issue at your end. The issue often resolves itself within a few hours or a day once unscheduled maintenance or server updates are completed by ServiceNow
- Open the developer portal in an Incognito/Private window, log in, and launch the PDI.
- Wait for 24 to 48 hours , Hope your issue will be resolved.
- If not, If the PDI remains offline for multiple days and is critical for your work, release your current instance and request a fresh one from the ServiceNow Developer Dashboard
