Is it possible to move ServiceNow IDE source code (not just metadata) between instances?

Hi Community,

We have a scenario where we created an application (React based UI application using ServiceNow table as database) using Build Agent in one instance. When we move this application to another instance (through update set or application repo), the application files show the metadata as expected. However, when we try to open the source code in the ServiceNow IDE, we are unable to see the exact source code as it appears in the lower instance.

Our question is:
Is it feasible to move the actual source code (not just metadata) from one instance to another so that the IDE reflects the same code?

If yes, what is the recommended approach or best practice for achieving this?

We are aware that this can be achieved via GitHub integration, but is there any other way to accomplish this without using GitHub? Any guidance or experience on this would be greatly appreciated.

This is the structure of source code need to see on moved instance as well so we can edit there as well in case needed.

We are looking for answer to similar question. Is there no way to directly migrate Fluent structure from 1 instance to another instance?

I believe GitHub is the only viable solution at this point. I will request that a case be logged with the SN support team to check if any alternative options are available.
